One of the international bets that gives rise to the foundation of a sustainable path for humanity is the 2030 Agenda because in it the states present specific goals that attempt to reconcile economic and environmental aspects. This agenda is a challenge for all the countries of the world; however, it implies big changes in particular for Latin America and the Caribbean. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to analyze how Latin America and the Caribbean are doing to finish the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the scope of the 2030 Agenda. Thus, I argue that, although in Latin America and the Caribbean there have been efforts to comply with the SDGs, these have not been enough because the region is stagnant and lagging behind in these goals, which makes it impossible for it to fulfill the agree commitment and shows little political will for the generation of sustainable societies.
