The present research arises from the worry for developing in the students the The competences and reading skills to strengthen the processes of comprehension and interpretation of statistical problems. The difficulties in comprehension of reading are demonstrated from the first degrees of education, situation observed in the moment of the identification of the problem. Provided that the students were reading the terms of reference but did not understand what process to continue in the resolution of mathematical problems. For the previous thing, the following question of investigation is born how is interpretive reading promoted by the resolution of statistical problems with the students of 3, 5, and 8 of two Educational Institutions of an official nature of Soacha-s municipality?. Inside the aims of the work they are to identify and to analyze as the students of the degrees previously mentioned, interpret and solve statistical problems in order to suggest recommendations that should allow improving these processes to institutional level. For a better comprehension of the work of research there took theoretical modals of Goodman (1982), who sustains that the comprehension of reading comes out of other contexts, therefore it is necessary to stimulate in the students the comprehension of reading for the interpretation of the statistical information, which implies developing in them linguistic skills, knowledge of the context, skills to raise questions and to solve problems (Murray and Gal, 2002). This process of interpretation can be given when the students relate your previous knowledge (Vygotsky, 1995), they admit different schemes...
