"Las Flores Creativity Center a proposed "entrepreneurial campus" in which people could find cooperative spaces and complementing housing to encourage and facilitate the development of entrepreneurial projects. The center will be located in the Las Flores sector within the neighborhood of Chapinero in Bogotá (69th street with carrera 13), and it is part of a general strategy, along with three other architectural projects (A, B, C, D), that would consolidate this part of the city. For many years the sector has been home to a flower market that currently is in bad condition due to the fragmentation of the urban layout. Additionally, the sector is expecting a new elevated city subway that would induce a division of Las Flores. To counteract the effects of the impending division, the proposed general strategy is based on the revitalization and stimulation of this part of Chapinero by the implementation of architectural interventions that cooperate in the metropolitan (subway) and neighborhood (Chapinero) aspects, while keeping the existing site conditions in mind. The general strategy is composed by two specific approaches to fulfill this intention: recomposing, meaning reorganizing from the ground-up, and revitalizing, meaning conceding the existing environment and improving it. In terms of the city, the creativity center will induce a harmony between the neighborhoodþs and the cityþs expected pedestrian flow disruption due to the future subway on Caracas avenue, in addition to the current Transmilenio. In this way, the project proposes the conformation of a new Las Flores square that would encourage a metropolitan flow and commercial passage into the building, while simultaneously keeping a strong connection with the other three projects of the main strategy and conserving the local scale of Chapinero. In terms of the building, the center is developed from a cluster typology that allows the interaction between entrepreneurs in spaces designed for the Design Thinking."--Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado
