The grade Project begins with an obsession about the problems of memory and the concept of forgetting. The idea of beign unavble to recall has haunted me since I can remember it : I cannot possibly concieve a reality where everything that comes before our present cannot have existed if we are not able of remember it. But the memory, not always is trustworthy to the facts: every time it mutates; So we cannot talk about a absolute reality, but a perception about it through our own filters, our own ways of conceive, recreate and understand, without leaving behind the common start that we would call facts. Fort he performance I considered the following three general rules: randomness, format and color. This way I came to the construction of the final pieces. Each canvases group ?Where the format doesþnt repeat- was treated the same way, in a series of movements that replicate in the most accurate way posible in every canvas, and waiting that the washes take the aleatory form that it wanted. Then I waited until that layer was ready to apply the following color until it made the necessary quantity of layers in order to generate the memory.
