"Dyscranxia", is the musical piece that serves as the graduation project and concludes my studies en the electroacustic composition emphasis, under the mentoring of professor Jorge Garcia. This project shows the musical development that has been worked throughout the 7 semesters in the composition area, and 10 in total in the music department. My intention with the musical piece was to work the subject of anxiety and depression, not looking to answer the question "what are them?", but rather "how do they feel like?". This means, that the listener would be able to somehow perceive the ideas, feelings, sensations, fears, anguishes, among many others, that a person with this type of condition would most likely feel. Indeed that is why I wanted to work with spoken text in this piece, so that it would have a more anthropological approach to the development of the sound as a musical resource. In the writing process for the piece it finally became an autobiographical piece, where I decided, along with professor Jorge Garcia, that it would be a piece where I would portray my own experiences with this particular subject, without leaving aside the sonic experimentation off course, meaning that the narrative would not be properly explicit throughout the piece, but that the purpose of the text was reflected musically. The audio file .wav can be found in the university's library so it can be heard.
