Para lograr que los más de seis millones de colombianos que viven en estos territorios vean una transformación real, la política 'Paz con legalidad', a través de los Programas de Desarrollo con Enfoque Territorial (PDET), busca que los esfuerzos de todos aquellos actores que, directa e indirectamente, inciden en la estabilización de estas regiones -las más violentas y pobres de Colombia- se encaminen hacia la satisfacción de sus necesidades básicas. Solo así se dará un paso en firme hacia la disminución de brechas sociales que históricamente las han aquejado
Currently, a third of our national territory does not provide access to drinking water and basic sanitation services on a stable basis. To ensure that the more than six million Colombians living in these territories witness a real transformation, the 'Peace with Legality' policy, through the Development Programs with a Territorial Approach (PDETs, in Spanish), aims at ensuring that the efforts of all actors involved, directly and indirectly, who endeavor for the stability of these regions - the most violent and poorest in Colombia - are geared towards satisfying basic needs.
