Micro-mixer for microfluidic systems using variable magnetic fields and magnetite nanoparticles

Abstract

El proyecto busca resolver problemas relacionados con la necesidad de incrementar la eficiencia de mezclado en microsistemas fluidicos, asi como las limitaciones actuales en los manipuladores electromagnéticos para micro-robots. El dispositivo se podrá fijar en la base de un microscopio óptico generico, el circuito magnetico recolectara mas campo magnetico para manipular las muestras con menor consumo energetico comparado con el estado del arte actual ademas de permitir colocar microsistemas fluidicos en el montaje

The project aims to solve the problems found in the need to increase the mixing efficiency of the microsystems, and the actual restrains of the electromagnetic actuators for the micro- robots. The device will fit in any generic microscope stage, its magnetic circuit will allow to harness more magnetic field to the samples to be controlled with less energy consumption compared to the actual state of the art and it will allow to place microsystems with the size of a microscope slide without any kind of limitation
