El ODS 16 en la Región Caribe

Abstract

Después de que Colombia emprendiera el reto hacia el cumplimiento de los ODS, el país ha superado múltiples desafíos para mantenerse con firmeza en el propósito de alcanzarlos. Sin embargo, los indicadores resultantes de la medición del Índice ODS 2019, revelan nuevos paradigmas en esta ruta, especialmente frente al logro del ODS 16, sobre paz, justicia e instituciones sólidas, donde la Región Caribe, a pesar de su pequeño tamaño, ha mostrado un nivel alto de incidencia, debido a sus características demográficas, geográficas y sociopolíticas. En este sentido, el presente informe tiene por objetivo determinar el avance de la Región Caribe sobre el ODS 16, comprender sus impactos, describir los avances e identificar desafíos y pendientes para la superación de las dificultades, caminar hacia la paz, justicia, no repetición y no revictimización, que permitan devolver la confianza en las instituciones y la reconstrucción del tejido social local, nacional y regional, trascendiendo hacia el cumplimiento de la agenda 2030.

Colombia undertook the challenge towards meeting the SDGs, it has overcome multiple challenges to remain firmly in the goal of achieving them. However, the indicators resulting from the measurement of the SDG Index 2019 reveal new paradigms on this path, especially in view of the achievement of SDG 16, on peace, justice and solid institutions, where the Caribbean Region, despite its small size, has shown a high level of incidence, due to its demographic, geographic and socio-political characteristics. In this sense, the objective of this report is to determine the progress of the Caribbean Region on SDG 16, understand its impacts, describes progress and identify challenges and pending issues to overcome difficulties, move towards peace, justice, non-repetition and non-revictimization, that allow to restore confidence in the institutions and the reconstruction of the local, national and regional society, transcending towards the fulfillment of the 2030 agenda.
