Casa Museo Jorge Eliecer Gaitán, los objetos de la dimensión política y la memoria

Abstract

El proyecto de investigación pretende determinar relaciones de interacción entre la Casa Museo Jorge Eliecer Gaitán como espacio y lugar de culto a uno de los personajes históricos más representativos de Colombia y las piezas que componen la colección que hoy se encuentra expuesta en los diferentes espacios del inmueble, configurando un sistema de evocación cultural desde una perspectiva personal e íntima, materializada en los bienes asociados a su cotidianidad doméstica y familiar. La interacción del público tiende a ligarse con un imaginario de Gaitán que marca su ausencia, girando en torno al recuerdo de su muerte y la relevancia de los acontecimientos subsiguientes, referente para conocer diferentes aspectos de su vida, obra y sacrificio, en un contexto histórico, político y social relevante para la historia reciente de Colombia, pero que debe fortalecer su potencial como espacio de proyección de objetivos claros dirigidos al rescate del pensamiento y la memoria del líder político. La presente investigación aborda particularmente los objetos de la colección de la Casa Museo Jorge Eliécer Gaitán que representan su dimensión política, la cual, tiene diversas variables asociadas al imaginario social, su reconocimiento como abogado penalista y académico, su carrera política y como servidor público, su papel como jefe único del Partido Liberal, su faceta como candidato presidencial, su pensamiento, su muerte, su legado y su memoria. En este sentido, mediante mecanismos de valoración aplicados a la colección de la Casa Museo en términos de patrimonio cultural, se busca reconocer los objetos que la conforman, constituir una metodología para su catalogación, inventario y registro y de esta manera, determinar su relevancia como referentes de cultura material, estableciendo las diferentes categorías, criterios y niveles de valoración, que permitan visualizar la colección de la Casa Museo Jorge Eliecer Gaitán y su trascendencia como piezas y conjuntos representativos y

The research project expect to determine the interaction relationships between the Jorge Eliecer Gaitán House Museum as a space and a tribute place for one of the most representative historical figures of Colombia and the pieces that integrate the House Museum's collection that is currently exhibited in different spaces of the building , configuring a system of cultural evocation from an intimate and personal perspectives, materialized in the items associated with their domestic and family daily life. The interaction of the people who visit the House Museum can be associated with an Gaitan's imaginary framed in his absence, revolving around the memory of his death and the relevance of subsequent events, a reference to learn about different aspects of his life, work and sacrifice, in a historical, political and social context, relevant to the recent history of Colombia, but that must elevate its potential as a space for the projection of clear objectives focused at rescuing and exalt the thought and memory of the political leader. This invstigation focused the objects in the collection of the Jorge Eliécer Gaitán's House Museum that represent his political dimension, which has innumerable variables associated with his social imaginary, his recognition as a criminal and academic popular lawyer, his political career and as a public servant, his role as the sole leader of the Politic Liberal Party, his facet as a presidential candidate, his thought, his death, his legacy and his memory.
