dc.description.abstractLa aproximación clásica a la teoría de representaciones de los grupos simétricos construye sus representaciones irreducibles a través de un objeto combinatorio: los tableaux de Young. A finales del siglo XX A.M. Vershik y A. Yu. Okounkov propusieron una forma diferente de construir estas representaciones irreducibles a partir de la estructura de grupo de Sn. También demostraron que esta aproximación está naturalmente en correspondencia con la perspectiva clásica. En este proyecto presentamos en detalle estos resultados y damos unas ideas sobre cómo extenderlos a otros grupos de Coxeter: los grupos hiperoctaedricos Bn. Igualmente mostramos unas aplicaciones de esta aproximación para hacer algoritmos interesantes que permiten descomponer en irreducibles las representaciones de Sn.
