dc.description.abstractProbiotic bacteria have been recognized as an importand alternative to antibiotics and other growth factors used animals, which have a negative influence on animal and consumers health. Preliminar experiements were performed in shaker to ontain the media formulation and the growth kinetics for isolated strains of lactobacillus spp. and Bifidobacterium spp. Experiements on a 2.7 L batch reactor allowed the study of operation parameters as asignation and aeration, obtaining the highest groth using two 6-paddle Rusthton turbines and air flow of 1.4 VVMes_CO
